Intel introduced its new AI chip, Gaudi 3, designed for efficiency and speed in AI model training, challenging Nvidia's dominance in the market.

Intel unveiled the Gaudi 3 chip, which is more than twice as power-efficient and can run AI models 1.5 times faster than Nvidia's H100 GPU, aiming to capture more of the AI chip market from Nvidia, which currently holds an estimated 80% share. The chip, available in various configurations, is set to be released to customers in the third quarter, with Dell, HP, and Supermicro creating systems incorporating the new technology.
