Morocco's Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art hosts one of Africa’s initial exhibitions of Cuban art, spotlighting Afro-Cuban painter Wifredo Lam.

The exhibition in Rabat presents 44 works by Wifredo Lam and marks the introduction of Jose Angel Toirac's artwork outside Cuba, underlining the cultural and historical connections between African and Cuban art themes. Scheduled until June 16, it also explores themes such as isolation, economic embargo, heritage, and identity in Cuban art.
