The body of 22-year-old Lefei Huang, missing for over a week, was recovered from a Californian mountain amid heavy snow after being spotted by a drone.

Lefei Huang from El Monte disappeared on February 4 while hiking alone in the Mt. Baldy area of the San Gabriel Mountains and was not seen again until her body was discovered on February 12. Her disappearance occurred just before a significant storm hit the region, complicating search efforts severely affected by snowstorms and high winds. The incident has prompted law enforcement to warn the public against solo hiking in adverse weather conditions, highlighting the risks of such activities during the winter.
