Marine to face court-martial over sexual assault of a minor
A U.S. Marine will be court-martialed for sexual assault after a 14-year-old girl was discovered in his barracks.
Pfc. Avery L. Rosario, detained since June following the discovery of the missing girl at Camp Pendleton, California, was charged with sexual assault of a minor. His defense claims he was misled by the girl's misrepresented age on Tinder, stating her profile indicated she was 21. The court-martial comes after Brigadier General Andrew M. Niebel of the 1st Marine Logistics Group referred two charges, with Rosario's hearing set for Thursday.
